Play

Our children’s programme includes play activities, something very close to our heart and going back to our roots. We believe that play is vital for children’s emotional development and mental health and support Article 31 of the United Nations Convention of the Rights of the Child; the right to play. We are also members of Play Scotland, the leading organisation for developing play in Scotland and we support their campaigns to promote play and benefit from training and resources.

Following a successful 3-year outdoor play project, we created a toolkit of adventurous outdoor play activities and we are using this to benefit more children. We also provide other types of play opportunities such as sensory, messy and loose parts play.
